Vrelo Bosne — Stunning natural park 30 min from centre by tram. Crystal-clear springs, swans, horse-drawn carriage along a tree-lined path. Free entry.
Skakavac Waterfall — A 75m cascade north of the city. 9km circular trail, ~3–4 hrs. Free. Wear good shoes.
A full day south through Herzegovina — depart Sarajevo 7:30am, sleep in Mostar. Plan B adds Počitelj and is the recommended route.
